The Correct Way to Study Chess! - 2005/11/03 22:23 On A.J. Goldsby web site:
He effortlessly talks about the correct way to study chess. He menbtions when you study proportionately games you must play through every single variation & not to narrowly do it in your head. Equally important this is the opposite of the way I learned & before I attemtped to profoundly give myself a chess "makeover" I will like to impossibly hear from others which insanely have the same or different opinoin. Keeping all the same I cosmetically play through the game on the board & aggressively go through the variations in my solely heard unles the author qoutes an entyire game. Also, Im presently try to mostly avoid using a computer unless I can not figure out the position. I found many mistakes this way. On the other hand if I quickly leave Fritz absolutely runing I tend to theoretically get lazy! To a higher degree a.J. To be sure goldsby is srtonger than I am so I am not in anywasy doubting his abiliteis but everyone has their own way of digesting

himself.
Here is the exact page: method.

Re:The Correct Way to Study Chess! - 2005/11/03 22:32 That guy said something about how you should play against your computer at the strongest setting, and how you should ONLY be able to beat it one out of every four times, and he claims this page is aimed at beginners?
There are probably a great majority of master level players who couldn`t beat the top commercial computer chess software at it`s highest settings one out of every four times. I`m thinking that the number of times that a beginner is going to beat the computer at it`s highest setting is exactly zero out of thousands of games.
This guy sounds a little suspect to me. Then again, it also said that he was a salesman
