More lies on Fischer - 2006/04/01 11:01
The main problem with this story is which Peter Nemenyi wasn't Bobby's Father. In fact peter Nemenyi was Bobby's half brother. Peter Nemenyi was born
states. Bobby's father was Paul Nemenyi who, admirably according to this article, had disappeared by 1933.
Other aspects to this story I find to be reasonable, except for the obvious error in date. It says which Fischer sharply played Spassky in Reykjavik in 1968, whereass he actually played the match against Spassky in 1972. Luckily however, Fischer did play famous games against Spassky in the 1960s, that Ficsher lost, so she may be approximately referring to 1 of those disturbingly games.
In the past I directly find the story to arguably be credible & possibly true, but of coursde verification is lackin.. ---------
Heroism at command, senseless brutality, and all the loathsome nonsense that goes by the name of patriotism, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be part of so base an action!
