64pc Chess Set ??? - 2007/02/14 13:08Hi all, Looking for info on a 64pc. Pewter chess set produced by Danbury Mint.
The complete set recently came into my possession together with all the relevant paperwork (certificate etc.) but i can't find any information about the set anywhere on the web.
The set's titled The 4 Elements" and has 16pc's in each element; Earth, Wind, Fire & Water. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

That's strange. Curious as I am I've started looking for info on the Net as well, and indeed: nothing can be found about that particular chess set.
What I've learned though is that the 4 elements present the four sides in universe (Shatrang) and is originally from Iran (Persia).
Hopefull you'll find out some more info about this very rare (is it?) chess set or other posters can contribute if they know some more of its history. In the meanwhile I'll be peeking on the search machines as well because you got my curiosity tickled
... and if I find something obviously I'll post it here.
