Kasparov vs Deep Blue - 2007/05/13 15:36 I remembered back then when Kasparov lost and read all about it on the news, about IBM's refusal for a rematch and how the game was very lopsided. And how people calling Kasparov a sore loser.
We won't know for sure. But no matter, Kasparov remains a big name in chess until today. And DeepBlue/IBM fades away. So in the end, I think Kasparov still has the better outcome.

Kasparov vs Deep Blue - 2007/05/14 12:32 Kasparov is defiantly a Giant of chess, it's too bad he had to suffer this embarrassment, but weather or not Deep Blue cheated is kind of a moot point now that it is widely accepted that the strongest chess computer (hydra) could beat any grandmaster in match play. Kasparov is still highly respected and his games/career are no less fantastic.

I don't know enough facts to say either way, but it's pretty fishy how IBM didn't release the logs and no rematch? Although I heard all the logs were even available online, and I know the no rematch was agreed before the match - so I'm not sure who to believe I watched the youtube video and all I can say is computers can and do calculate far enough ahead to not accept sacrifices if they deem it unsafe, at the time of the match though, that may have been unprecedented.
