1d4..d5...transposed to sicilian/poisoned pawn - 2007/05/12 11:45 here guys im sharing with you the 3 games of bobby fischer from which an opponent open 1.d4 bobby reply d5...which he eventually transpose the game to sicilian....1 mbertok vs fischer 1962 2. petrosian vs fischer 1959 3. spassky vs fischer 1992...check up youre databases and study the gamme...sometimes it help a lot when you know to transpose the game to youre more familiar set up...

1d4..d5...transposed to sicilian/poisoned pawn - 2007/05/14 12:08 went to chessgames.com and looked in my chessbase Big05

There are no games with a player named "mbertok"

In both chessgames.com and chessbase Petrosian and Bobby played 4 games in 1959, none of which are sicilian.

According to chessgames.com Fischer and Spassky played 10 games in 1992 that were classified as sicilian. All ten open with 1.e4 2.c5

In my chessbase the eleven 1992 Fischer Spassky games that opened with 1.d4 didn't transpose to any sicilian opening.

Could you tell us where the match was, who won, maybe you have the pgn or a link to where we can find them?

1d4..d5...transposed to sicilian/poisoned pawn - 2007/05/14 12:23 in the chess forum of bobby fischer at chessgames.com check on its kibitzer forum...click on the name of bobby fischer and scroll its kibitzer area and theres one kibitzer there that supply these 3 game...i believe the d4 opening which bobby rply in d5 is named queens gambit decline from which the set up if youre familiar with sicilian is more sicilian...these need more exhaustive analysis and im sorry for im an amateur chessplayer....bobby always transpose the game to his familiar set up...i guess it is with pandolfinis book abcs of chess you could find game with bobby thats transposed to sicilian and it has annotation....these is all i could reply to youre querry but even other kibitzer there comment that these 3 games were transposed to sicilian set up
