Re:Poll: Favourite Chess Piece? - 2007/05/14 12:13I like the knight because IMO it's most unique jumping over pieces and can move to any of the closest squares that aren't on the same diagonal, file, or rank (neat when it's explained that way).
But if it's an open position and my knights aren't doing much for me? I'd trade 'em for a bishop in an instant
Re:Poll: Favourite Chess Piece? - 2007/05/14 17:53Knight is my favorite piece too. Not just because of its moves but the uniqueness of the design. It's the only "beast" of the board. And also the one that does not have a symmetric look.
But in terms of power, yeap I too prefer bishop over knight
