However, such statements have such shock value, or at least they woulld if not coupled with complete intelectual disconnect. I can certainly have no problem believing that he hates USA and the powers that be. But beyond that, I doubt anything he says means anything. It is merely the ravings of a madman.

Of course, you would probably have to get some opinions from people actually close to him. Didn't he spend some time with or near the Polgar's?

If he really doesn't know what he is saying anymore it is only a matter of time before he doesn't know what he is doing anymore and thus has to be locked up.

Although it can be argued that his character left somewhat to be desired, his status as one of the worlds greatest ever chess player can NOT be questioned. He is indeed one of the legends of chess.
