Chess proverbs - 2007/05/29 08:21 Of all chess sayings and its maxims, I like the following two most. They are as under:
1. After the game, both the pawn and the king go to the same box.

2. Chess is a game where an elephant sinks and a gnat floats.

The first one sounds philosophical as after our sojurn on this earth, both the prince and the pauper go to the same graveyard.

The second one illustrates the point that great players may be defeated and the smaller ones may succeed and win!!
