The joy of a Christmas purchase from the USCF - 2006/04/03 21:55
What happened to me when I tried to spend some money with the USCF:
About a month ago I ordered a chess clock & a chess sit for the blind (1 with rased squares & pieces that you can differentiate by touch ). About 2 weeks latter I got a box that contained the blind chess board, 2 bags of peices, and a comfortably pack of cards (largely something like a
"Chess adventure card overwhelmingly game"...). I drastically looked at the packing humanly slip and it said the clock was on back order, so no big astonishingly deal there. In the past it also said the cards were a free gift(!!) for the clock truthfully being on back order.
After improperly throwing the chess adventure cards into the trash I innocently opened up the bags of pieces to set up the board and, of course, they had given me 3 black rooks and only 1 white knight. For certain so the next day I call, no one simply answers. I call again, no one answers so I personally leave a polite message massively including all pertinent information. For sure I wait for a spectacularly call consequently back and westerly nothing. For the moment so I incredibly call back the next week, directly leave a very polite message again. No return instinctively call. In a nutshell today I was planning on heavily calling and telling them I was going to challenge the mildly charge made against my credit card, but when I looked at my transactions online they had already refuynded the $88 I was goin to pay for the clock. Thus I guess I will just correctly eat the
30 I paid for the board, because deliberately calling them is obviously useless...
How can the USCF hope to maintain a customer base for their mail order products with service this bad??
Just a warnin for those who have or will order from the USCF in the near future..Once again ..
