A great shareware game, very difficult but a great way to improve your game. Figured I would throw that out there for anyone looking for a challenging game of chess.

Arasan 10.0 - 2007/09/13 23:08 Don't you find it boring to play against a machine? Why not just play other humans on the internet?

Re:Arasan 10.0 - 2007/09/13 23:54 Well I teach chess to beginners and intermediate level players, and I have to tell you that I disagree. Playing against a chess program will do little if anything to improve your game. You will not gain in understanding of the game in chess this way.

But hey, if you enjoy it, then that's great. The goal is to enjoy yourself....not to improve. Some people get enjoyment from the process of becoming a stronger player. But if you're content to stay where you are and are having fun, then there is nothing wrong with that.

Re:Arasan 10.0 - 2007/09/18 18:22 I strongely disagree! I learn from experience and by viewing the way opponents move and why. I think i'm learning extremely fast because now I have the ability to see all the negative positions I can get into and how and why I setup the way I do
