Re:Articles - 2008/01/17 01:10Hey Chris! Thanks for opening up an area on articles. Here is a submission on chess and nutrition. I've informed Dame I'm putting it here, as I couldn't get that "submit articles" thing to work, and I would like her to find another (or better) place on the site to put it. BTW- I sent you and e-mail re: a couple games by e-mail and await your moves. Cheers!
You can feel the respect that the folks here are trying to create.
A place to play.
So Cool.
On to the subject at hand.
Article "Fodder"
This is the internet and chess is so open ended.

Keep your blunders to your self.

Re:Articles - 2008/01/17 10:52Well, I am at a loss myself about that article thingy. I have published it but cannot find it anymore. I am awaiting softwareman's response to this, since I asked him.
csmullen, why don't you write about a subject that interests you the most?
Re:Articles - 2008/01/17 12:39Yea i suppose i could, i just thought it would be good to write about things people may have questions about that are chess related as i know there are a few newcomers around on the forum
Ill put something together, no doubt ill be writing more than one article
Re:Articles - 2008/01/17 16:10yea sure, i could get something together on that If dame could make this post a sticky or something then maybe this could serve as an article request section?
Articles - 2008/01/17 16:15I suggest an article on the famous chess grandmasters (one person per article): showing they are also human, to include some humor, etc. Why this suggestion? Many enthusiasts look to them as on pedestals, one reason why Bobby Fischer is maligned. Maybe start with Fischer? You're looking for a place to put your articles? Why not put it in your blog, as you say you can't put it in articles...
Articles - 2008/01/17 16:18Ahh yes, a superb idea, I based alot of my tournament play of fischer based ideas. I guess the step after would be kasparov.
An article like this would take a lot of time, what sort of content would you like? and overview of thier life or simply thier chess careers?
Articles - 2008/01/17 16:22Maybe more on his life, even at present. I hope it's positive--many writers focus on negatives. As to his games, maybe just one representative game. I know it'll be long in coming, but we'll wait...
Articles - 2008/01/18 13:33It's coincidental that the topic of Bobby Fischer cropped up here. The former world champion just now passed away at age 64. A report from Reykjavik said. Farewell... While he was a controversial figure, I don't want to judge the man--that's between him and his maker.
