My opinion on this site - 2008/03/11 20:21 I have been on this site for 11 days now and am quite impressed with it. The thing I like is there is no highlights of the last move on the board like other sites. This can get really annoying. I don't think you should have the Members Spotlight on the home page since most of the photos are of past members who don't go on the site any more. I don't fully understand how you work out Avg Profile Rating. I haven't a clue what Forum Rating is! Maybe someone can tell me this? When you go on Players on Play Online Chess, I know you haven't got a rating system, but why have you got wins and (I think) the number of draws, but no losses? It would make things easier to see how good the player is if you improve this page. Is there any plans for improvements to this site in the future? Thank you for reading this. I look forward to your replies.

Your forum topic is well thought out.
And is a benefit to all new members

You might want to visit the
INTRODUCE YOURSELF forum.

Just how many have you researched to say:
Don't go on the site anymore ?
Active or not they are members here.
When they show up to catch a game.

The Avg Profile rating is folks visiten'
Your profile And you visiten back.

Forum Rating , That's tricky . It's a
measure of how involved you are with the
forums at this site. If you post to forums
it goes up. If you want a forum rating you
need to post.

The Win / Lose / Draw thing.

If you look close at the box
that pops up when you move your
mouse[cursor] over the game you
are playing.

IT SAYS FREINDLY GAME.

It's chess

Everyone loses

No reason to dwell on it.
Much less commemorate it.

Just Play.
No Fear.
Make the short leap
And know your opponent plays well
Just as your opponent
know's you plays well.

I can tell you this.
The folks that run this
site . Improve it all the time.

As an ongoing thing.

I'm not for sure ,But I think that comes from
Aesop's fables , The whole Sour Grapes thing.

It's a fine post and makes perfect sense.

Aesop aside , I would if I may ADD .

I think I was missunderstood as I find other sites annoying at highlighting on the board the last move made. I think this is a great site and will continue playing on it. I will look at the Members Spotlight differently and I hope I can meet some new friends here and enjoy some friendly games with them. I too appreciate the great expense made to keep this website running, and look forward to the future improvements if there shall be. bootman
