Who runs this site? - 2008/07/05 20:32 Curiously, the administrator(s) seem to prefer to hide behind anonymity.

Who runs this site? - 2008/07/07 12:30 Well that's interesting, because normally a forum has a "contact us" link or a "webmaster" name and address given. Upon clicking on your "about us" link there is some anonymous gibberish that is signed "written by administrator". No name given whatsoever.

Now you're telling me that you're the admin here, yet you identify yourself only by "Dame". I hardly think that's that name that appears on your ID.

Seems like hiding to me.

Who runs this site? - 2008/07/08 07:35 It might seem to you whatever you like it to seem. This is just a forum set up by a friend of mine who loves chess but doesn't (temporarily I hope) have the time to spend on it anymore so I am "watching it". I can at all times be reached by pm if you'd like to contact me directly. No hiding at all. That is all in the eye of the beholder

Who runs this site? - 2008/07/09 10:25 No, you're incorrect. What I stated has nothing to do with "the eye of the beholder", it's objective fact. You're hiding behind anonymity. You won't even mention the name of this "friend" you claim set up this forum, nor do you provide your own name. There is never any mention of who actually runs this site, as as I already spelled out for you, even in the "About Us" link there is no name, just the generic "administrator".

This isn't a debate. I'm stating objective facts.

Who runs this site? - 2008/07/09 11:36 I can always be addressed and contacted by everyone, and yes I am not stating personal information on the internet. Sorry if you only want personal information but the cause of this forum is to discuss chess.
If you call that hiding, be my guest. It is not so. End of subject.

Who runs this site? - 2008/07/10 16:22 I am curious as to why it matters, i would imagine you have come here to discuss chess, and can see from the various posts that chess is without doubt the theme of this forum.

Why would you want the details of the admins?. Perhaps if you found an issue with the site. But that still wouldnt require to know the details. Dame has stated she is the admin, she has also stated that she can be contacted by anyone if required. Thats good enough. It is perfectly reasonable for her not to disclose information on the net. Im sure you understand this.

Who runs this site? - 2008/07/10 21:23 Dame: I'm calling it hiding and it objectively IS hiding. You are hiding in anonymity behind a pseudonym. If you're having trouble understanding the meaning of any of the words I have used I suggest you expand your vocabulary and look them up.

csmullen: Are you Dame's little sidekick helper? I don't see why you need to post your whining drivel here. I'm sure, that if you spend a bit of time thinking about it, you will understand that your post is of absolutely no value here.

Who runs this site? - 2008/07/11 19:00 I am sorry, but if you have come to upset the friendly sphere at this forum I will have to ban you. I hope this was your last posting doing so. You are invited to discuss chess as much and as often as you please but personal insults I will NOT tolerate, I hope this makes my policy on this forum clear. It is up to you now.

Chris, thanks. That was exactly what I was trying to explain only with less effective words.

Re:Who runs this site? - 2008/07/12 09:40 You're the one upsetting the atmosphere here. You seriously need to grow up! There is nothing "unfriendly" about asking why the site administration chooses to hide behind pseudonyms. As I said, if you're having trouble comprehending any of the words I've used, look them up.

Perhaps you need to take some remedial English classes. I've gone out of my way to use small and simple words for your benefit here. I hope you can understand everything that has been said this time.

And FYI, idle threats from an anonymous chess patzer who hides behind aliases is completely pathetic. Obviously you're compensating for your lack of power and respect in the real world with this little tantrum you're throwing. Do your parents not pay enough attention to you? Stop acting like a little child, "Dame".

Re:Who runs this site? - 2008/07/16 00:20 Chess_student, its noticeable that most of your posts here at chesscircle are simply either rude, or completely irrelavant, no here want to give you their details, and that should be enough for you. If for watever reason you cannot process this, then it may be plan for you to go eleswhere.

Its as simple as this. Chesscircle is a chess forum, therefore, we discuss chess.

End of discussion

Re:Who runs this site? - 2008/07/18 11:55 Student is right, she has a lot to learn,
Mainly that attention grabbing insults, and a lack of
understanding about the need for personal privacy ,
particularly on a web site, shows great immaturity
Has she played any Chess yet ? or did she arrive by mistake.I suggest she relocates to an aggressive chat
room ASAP

Re:Who runs this site? - 2008/08/13 10:33 "Chess patzer"? Hmmm! As a betting man, I'd wager my house on Dame whooping Chess_Student on the chessboard or in any other intellectual arena.

So your name is chess student then is it? OR are you hiding behind a pseudonym?? Why is it so important that you need to know the admins names? If you give us a good reason, maybe someone might tell you.

A simple look around the forums will tell you that Dame is an admin. If you didn't do that, then a simple search in the member list finds an admin (click here) I have included some of the Community Experts page where it shows a name and a place and a method of contacting an admin(it might seem inappropriate but it is a method). I hope this will suffice you're curiosity of finding information on an admin.

If not my name is Kevin O'Flaherty, my username is just the ends of my name cut off. im from Ireland and my chess club is Milford. Would you like to know more about me? Becuase reading my profile is pretty informative. Using my profile and google obtain some of my chess games here

On a different subject, after reading posts made by you chess_student, it seems to me that you support Jason Repa and are acting under a pseudonym (you may even be Jason Repa acting as chess_student). I am not fully informed on the history the forum has with Jason Repa or what he did, but so far you have verbally attacked others, at least understand that this is not a suitable starting point when you are engaged in an arguement. if you feel there should be a Contact us button located on the site please post it in the appropriate forum as it will get a better response then a verbal assult in the wrong section in the forum.

If this has not answered all your questions about the site, PM me or post a reply, however please do not reply with a verbal assault, as it is not constructive, and may result in a ban (I do not mean to use that as a threat, I am just stating the facts.
