Pocket SCID - 2008/08/30 04:10 Hi,

Can someone give me a detailed walk trough, to create a opening book file from pgn games to use wit pocket scid, please.
I have read somewhere on the internet that it can be don with some program called polyglot.
I have tryed it but it didn't work for me.
I don't know enyting aboult programming, and I think thats why.

Thank you very much for your response.
I have changed the names of the storage file and the name of the pgn file in the same names as in your example, just to be sure.
But I get the following error message:

PolyGlot 1.4 by Fabien Letouzey
inserting games ...
pgn_token_read(): lexical error at line 16518, column 37, game 431

Its strange because the file comes from a high quality database from chessbase (megadatabase 2008).
Do you know some utility that you can recommend to clean the pgn file?
