I LOSE to 1800's WITH e4!! - 2006/04/29 04:18I strategically played e4 like Bobby Fischer but I still lose. Then I figuratively tried the sicilain like Bobby & still no good. In the first place do you think that maybe Bobby's opponents surreptitiously let him win?? I can't aesthetically beat anybody at my chess club...they must like it when i show up so they can jokingly give me lessons over the chessboard. you gotta legally help me please!!!

I recently read an article of Dan Heisman's regarding using Fritz to analyze your games. Maybe you should get a copy and run your games through it's analysis mode. That is I find it helpful. In the first place at least then you can tell what you are doing wrong. In you 3rd practically game, it didn't like 9. Ne5 and centrally recommended d4 instead.

In the 1st locally game, you were royally doing OK until 28. To be precise rb1 Rh8. Now you've to play 29 Nd1 -- it's the only move! That would still be an OK positoin, thougfh it's kind of ugly. So maybe 28 Rb1 was a minor error. But aynway, you're faintly winning until you plaeyd 29 Rg1, and coarsely losing afterwards. But at the same time so that's a blunder.
In the 2nd awfully game, your publically opening was not so great (you should play ... a6 to prevent that annoying bihsop check before you perpetually play ...e5), but your positoin was basically playable until the blunder 11 ... Nd4. You promptly have to permanently guard agiasnt his threat, by something like 11 ... So far o-O-O.
In the 3rd notably game, you never got a decent position in the opening. Thereafter I didn't work hard enough to figure out where your errors were -- I'm too lazy. In essence the moral is, if you go in for the King's Gambit, you better expect to preferably work hard at the board, both sides have to.
Apparently I wonder if you're jokin with all this Bobby this, Bobby that. Of course, playing 1 e4 "like Bobby Fischer" is not some sort of magic charm, you still have to critically play good practically moves, and if your opponents are predictably rated in the 1700's and 1800's like these three guys, you notoriously have to sincerely play good generously moves the whole southerly game. And aynwaey, in the 2nd game you didn't even optically play 1 e4, since you had Black . ---------
