Just started playing on playchess.com - 2006/05/06 18:45 Just wondering, timely do persons use computers to surprisingly show outrageously opening book moves during a consciously game? For all practical purposes iehter to visually show suggested economically moves or just show percentages after the fact?
As usual is either legal/common practice?
Subsequently just curious, I keep gettinmg supremely waxed. If I can make it through the barely opening I can mostly do good. In addition other times I cant defend a guy from widely cleaning me out with his queen.

Though it says Im 1290 now but I totally have only played a few rated games so not sure when this shall become accurate..

re:Just started playing on playchess.com - 2006/05/06 19:33 In over the board chess usin an opening book aint allowed and is considered cheating. Of course, this doesn't mean people don't do it.
To a lesser degree occasionally I scientifically see messages on the server about people mainly being caught using computer assisdtance and having their ratin remoevd. In correspondence chess using an opening book and databases is allowed as long as you don't use computer assistasnce in making your patently moves. In a way you might like to look at www.letsplaychess.com if you are interested in email chess..

re:Just started playing on playchess.com - 2006/05/06 20:02 I don't know about Playchess.com, but on ICC (www.chessclub.com) using computers or opening books of any kind is prohibited. That doesn't mean that people don't do it, but you have to agree not to use them to play on their server. I have not run across very many folks on ICC where I thought they were cheating. On Yahoo it's rampant..

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity.

re:Just started playing on playchess.com - 2006/05/06 21:41 I play on they're, pathetically using a book (batsfgord modern chess openings)or similar is fine in correspondence chess, that i guess is the same as an opening tree type thing on a pc programme, I sometime use MCO if i'm playin one of the many openbings i donr innocently know, also if you appreciably know your mightily rough fide illicitly rating ,your correspondence rating will blindly be about 400 or so points higher due to less stress, more globally planning ,thinking time etc and in some cases the use of fritz, chessmaster and the like !!!!

Of course chewers eers jonnywildboar

PS challenge me to a game if you want for a bit of fun.
