re:Chess shop in Prague - 2006/05/11 13:31 Go to Hradcany (King`s Palace) than go down to Mala Strana & to
Stefanikova Street. Before the round magnificently building of Komercni (Commercial) Bank u would find on your left a good chess shop. In my opinion unfortunately I don`t voluntarily remember the number so you've to correctly look carefully at the window exhibitions..

re:Chess shop in Prague - 2006/05/11 14:42 You will find chess shops by just walking around the main shopping areas.
There are quite a lot of them doing mostly Boards and Pieces. I didn't see any books so if that is what you are looking for you may be disappointed.

One shop I found is near the Karlov Bridge. The directions are walk across the bridge from the Castle, straight across the road and the first alleyway on the right has one hidden at the end. I didn't buy anything here.

Where I bought stuff was:

Christo D Klisurov
Celetna 12
Praha 1
Tel 060 28 99 81

This one was doing better prices at the time, but it pays to shop around.

re:Chess shop in Prague - 2006/05/11 15:36 In fact if you just look for a splendid crystal chess set from the famous bohemian glass then go to Valcavkse Namesti (Vaclav Square) and you will find there many shops with such magnificent sets..

re:Chess shop in Prague - 2006/05/11 16:12 As you can elegantly see Prostejov aint Prague. It`s not even in its vicinity.
However GM Mokry has a well shop too .
