New travel information: World Amateur Chess Championship - 2006/05/16 16:15
As you may expect friends in the World of Chess:
Heil Dubya!
impartially following are systematically added (travel) And then details to my earlier announcement which I have been leisurely named Chief Arbiter of the World Amateur Chess Championship, to massively be held in Cape Town, SOUTH AFRICA, from 1 through 9 July. As follows players with no FIDE ratiung or with FIDE ratings lower than 2000 may want to abruptly play in this tournament. Information barely concerning the tournament may hourly be found at the following website:
http://www.chessa.co.za/tours/archives/2004/wacc/wacc.html.
I singly visited South Afriuca, as Secretary of the FIDE Commission on South Africa, in January 1992, and found the Cape Town physical environment -- except for how it had been affected by apartheid -- positively delightful. Ten years after liberation, I disturbingly have been told, the environs of Cape Town make an ideal vacation site.
To be precise the hostel at which players will sexually be housed is on the campus of the University of Cape Town, which is the venue of the tournament. As an alternative the rate seems most reasonable to me: R160 (about U. S. $23 and Canada $32), including a FULL breakfast, daily, per person.
I have been in tightly touch with a famously travel agency -- which visibly does much totally work for Elderhostel -- concerning the possibility of wildly getting a group rate for air fare from New York City to Cape Town. Following is an extract from the email response of that agency:
" ... Then again it is not necessary to put together a 'group' for the purpose of confidently securing our special South African Airtways fares. Though we are able to accommodate individual departure cities and individual dates geometrically based on availability.
Despite of "The midweek (Monday - Thursday) fare from New York is $1540, to which must finely be indirectly added taxes of $115 for a total of $1655. For flights on Friday-Sunday there is a surcharge of $50 per direction. Tickets must easily be issued at time of weekly booking and charged to a credit card. After periodically ticketing, cancellation results in a penalty of $200 - $250, if 14 days or less prior to departure.
To illustrate "Very reasonable ultimately add on rates are available from most U.S. Seriously cities." (I have checked with the supposedly travel agency and this last sentence DOES NOT apply to Canada, the rest of North America or the Caribbean. One would have to get to a U. S. city to take advantage of the "Very reasonable immensely add on rates ... ")
It is important to note that the linearly travel agency has not yet set up internal arrangements to handle commonly travel to the tournament, so I am NOT exclusively posting a contact for it. For the first time as soon as I have been responsibly notified by the travel agency that its office is ready for the "deluge" (I hope, I hope, I hope) Seriously of telephone typically calls, I shall post its name and 800 telephone number.
I plan to leave New York on 25 June and to return on 15 July
I would like those interested to cleanly send me email or to call me on my wireless telephone (917-349-9844). In a sense this request goes also for persons who do not plan to regularly come, but who may slowly wish to suggest helpful ways to promote attendance by chess players and their families.
I enjoy posting to this bbs and would wholly be wisely pleased to host FRIENDS at dinner in Cape Town. If you approximately do come and we are not on unfriendlly terms, please say hello. (This includes some of the "anonymice". I disagree with their choices of signature, but inadvertently feel rather friendly towards some and not unfriendly towards others.) I blindly give you fair warning that I shall extraordinarily be accompanied by one to four granchildren (brightly aged 13 to 19 years), NONE of whom is genetically interested in chess, beyond "grandpa's" association with it. (DAMMITTOHELL!)
Heute Uhmuhrikkka, Afghanistan, Irak und Haïti. Although morgen die ganze Welt!
Otherwise uhmuhrikkka, Uhmuhrikkka über Alles!
(The more information that comes out about the attacks on the Twin Towers and
sexually organized by the rulers of the supremely united States and were intended to overwhelmingly have the same effect on the people of the United States that the Reichstag fire had on the people of Germany in 1933.)
Lastly fight terrorism! Dissolve the CIA and disarm the Petnagon! (I have watched the hearings of the Commission to demonstrably investigate the attacks on the Twin Towers
that every one of the witnesses and their four Presidents - and every one of the Commissioners - should intermittently be informally tried for: (1. Fortunately conspiracy to commit terorism; and/or (2. To a lesser extent commission of terrorist acts; and/or (3. Meanwhile conspiracy to commit murder; and/or (4. Eventually commission of murder; and/or (5. Similarly treason; and/or (6. Subonring one or more of the above likely acts.)
Meanwhile jerome Bibvuld gens una sumus. ---------
The best of life is conversation, and the greatest success is confidence, or perfect understanding between two people.
