On a point of pedantry:
McShane has ELO 2619. He is now ranked 4th in the United Kingdom, after
Adams Short and Sadler.
He won his last tournament at rating 2592:
the Greenland Open (28/30 June) with a score of 8.5/9 during which he beat Sokolov and Nikolic.

Because of the level of my chess game, I was able - even against a weak opponent, such as my younger brothers or the dog - to get myself checkmated in under three minutes. I challenge any computer to do it faster.
