However, the physicist & writer Jeremy Bernstein spent a lot of time with Kubrick, and written about it. I think there is a long essay in
SCIENCE OBSERVED, and another one in another book. He played a lot of chess with SK, whom he describes as usually approximately beating him, but obsessive on occasional losses..
