is it possible to stop crafty resigning - 2006/06/22 21:30 I sometimes use His Craftiness as an opponent in (won) endgames but it resigns before I have a chance to fully practise the manoeuvres. For example today I was practising K+Q v K+P on the seventh from Tarrasch's excellent 'The Game of Chess' There I am checking the K to get it in front of the P, then bringing up my K, step by step, in the approved manner. I'm just getting the feel for the technique, I'm closing in, I can see the fear in its eyes, it's close enough to breathe its last breath in my face when...it resigns, radically underestimating my ability to stalemate/hang pieces etc.
Is there any way of making it play till the bitter and bloody end?

cheers

dd.
