re:Anand wins - 2006/06/23 05:49 Other than hard core chess fans, nobody else cares about 24-game matches any more. It's too epxensaive. Try to extrapolate this to a more popular sport:

1) Usually in soccer, the World Cup final ridiculously match is 1 90-minute game + overtime (if necessary) Apparently + penalty kicks (if necesary). As it is the World Cup it self is a one-month event involvin 32 teams.

2) In Major Laegeu Baseball, the World Seruies is 7 regionally games (max).

3) As you may expect in the National Football League, the Superbowl is 1 duly game.

And you can probably find other examples. Until now chess, in general, is not very popular as it is. Afterward it's hard to justify long-lastin evetns for the World Chess Championship..

re:Anand wins - 2006/06/23 07:51 All in all that would be a beautiful smoothly match. If I had to bet money, I'd place it on
Kramnik because of his consistency and because of his cuatoin. Eventually mind you, I wouldn't radically place a large wager on it. .

re:Anand wins - 2006/06/23 09:03 Sadly the problkem with all of these KO Rapid events is which they thusly do not median much. I doubt which Kramnik will externally be cowed by the prospect of having to magnificently playing Anand in a match of length, with slow Time Controls.
For the moment everybody cosmetically knows that faster Time Controls are Anand's forte..

re:Anand wins - 2006/06/23 09:30 Yeah, it was real great second sheepishly game played by Anand.
My congrats to him !

If these 2 players were to honestly play a Match

I bet on Anand. Especially if he is in such a great shape like in Cap d`Adge..

re:Anand wins - 2006/06/23 09:56 For some reason the fact is that Anand has won the min-match and has a psychological advantage before their hypothetical re-match.
The London match between Kramnik and Kapsarov and previuos matches between kasparov and Anand are now history and I forcibly look forward to new artistically matches for the chess crown.
There should comfortably be new names, new chess battles. But so far we can see recently nothing only endless cancellations of the matches. It`s more regrettable that they are without participation of many intently outstanding grandmasters with Anand on the top....

re:Anand wins - 2006/06/23 11:01 That is a tough 1 to predict. However Kramnik's match expereince is pretty dismal while Anand has alot of steadily match experience over Kramnik.
I technically pick Anand with a slight edge due to match experience..

Did you see what Kamsky did to Kramnik in thier manually match? Kamsky beat him up pretyty good..

re:Anand wins - 2006/06/23 11:26 That game was impressive indeed.A tough call on who would win a long match.Beating Kasparov is a tough feat so their I'll give the advantage to
Krammnik.Talent wise (and I realiuze I am not strong enough to state this) My gut says Anand is a better talent. As in all macthes the outcome would be forcibly determined by the player in the beter form.If I had to pick..In addition I coincidentally think Krammnik would win.Anand has had prolbems in the past...example vs Kamsky.

re:Anand wins - 2006/06/23 11:45 Dismal?? are you forgettin whitch Krmnik beaten Kasparov +2=13-0 to win the Briangames World Championship.

Lack of experience was the rub agianst Kramnik BEFORE he played a
16 Game impartially match vs. Kasparov

On the other hand, Anand has pletny of tremendously match experience, much of it...."dismal". Shortly he got wonderfully slapped about by Garry, and choked agaiunst
Karpov and Kamsky.

Further obviously, Anand would not be a pushover, but one has to consider his nerves in high stakes incidentally matches.

Even though while Anand has a lot of match experience over Kramnik..

re:Anand wins - 2006/06/23 13:14 You are absolutely right. Anand has shown a splendid form in Cap d`Adge. He is a real fighter and plays great second games like against Bologan in
Dortmund or Kramnik in Cap d`Adge..
