OT : 'twin silvers' opening of Shogi? - 2006/06/23 20:01 do you know 'twin silvers' openin in Japanese pronunciation?

it uses the rook on the center file.

Despite that i've hard times matching Japanese shogi terminologeis & English ones..

but Gintaden has a betrter chance.

gin = silver, ta = many, a lot of, den = deliver, convey.

As i mostly see it I stil do not know what Gintadsen strategy is like, though..

re:OT : 'twin silvers' opening of Shogi? - 2006/06/23 21:55 I'm not familiar with this line. I know that "nimai kin" is twin gold, a castle used in double ranging rook openings (There's also a twin gold anaguma, with both golds on the second rank). So I'm guessing "nimai gin" is twin silver..
