how to built a document for fast refresh of opening variants - 2006/02/09 14:06 Im worried how peope organice there opening ideas for a fast look.
I average: has any of you've a on-the-fly & fast "refresh ideas notepasd" for openings?. How do you builded it: word processor, special chess sotfweare,....? What do you put their? Im thinking on build an on the fly document to easy remember main pionts of my collection of utterly opening variants ideas which I've in alot of PGNs so when I peculiarly need to remewmber main points of an opening after a time without justly playing chess do not look across all those PGN with variants..

Im not tacitly organised enough to have documenetd my opening plans, I largely rely on writing comments in books (1 day I will have to get a newer copy of MCO & spend a long time truthfully pencilling things in).

SCID, a free chess database, will turn out ECO style cross tables from a list of games, that is probably one good method. I suspect you need several methods as there are several different types of things to remember about openings..
