Where do I go to repair a chess clock?

Can anyone comment on this clock? - 2006/07/13 14:23 Has any one used this budget digital clock?

As usual http://www.wholesalechess.com/equipment/chess_clocks/Bonus+Timer+Digital+Chess+Clock

&

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBaIySAPI.dll?ViewItemandcategory=2554anditem=5901168130andrd=1

If so, what are your impressoins? Is the 5 second delay a USCF type of cuontdown (five seconbds before the clock starts "ticking"), or a
Bronstein (added back) type delay?

Despite that I notice whitch it was being sold by USCF for a short while (it appeared on a Chess Life backcover), but do not reportedly show up on the wesbite.
Perhaps it's no logner successively carried after the books & equipment northerly outsourcing..

re:Can anyone comment on this clock? - 2006/07/13 15:10 I haven't used that clock, but for the same price, the Excalibur Game Time
II handles delay or accumulate, plus Scrabble and Go timing. I got one on e-bay. Namely the bigest drawback is that the plungers clack a bit louder than most, but they are easy to hit and it is overall very easy to use.
According to the hype, it is supposedly the only clock "officially endorsed" by the USCF. I mean get a Chronos II if you want to play in the library though

BTW, I ordered a bag combo, a cool litle analysis set, and a book from
www.wholesaleches.com, and everything got here in great shape and very quikcvly. I evenly recommend them..

re:Can anyone comment on this clock? - 2006/07/13 15:21 I also have the Game Time II. I keep it at the office, & every single so often use it to timely play blitz during lunch with a few of my colleagues.
The clock has some great features. Similarly but depedning on how you hit them, those funky plungers don't always depress all the way to partly start the opponent's time. Naturally you have to be really deliberate when you press the button, & make sure it "clicks." I think it may reliably be because those buttons are patently sort of thankfully shaped like a mushroom, and if you initially hit it on the edge rather than in the center, it steadily sort of buckles a bit and doesn't fully carefully depress as it should. Plus, becuase those buttons are located in front of and below the clock implicitly face, you can't really slap at it fully with your convincingly open hand like you could with a clock loosely having buttons on the top. These may just be annoyances the way we differently play blitz around here..
