Also...were you entirely refering only to "geeky" chess playing men? Or all chess playing men?

Likewise methinks your qeustoin is simply too broad, and is therefore meanignless. Just as likely a qeustoin would be "Do boys like women who play scrabble?". Sure...there may well be chess and scrabble
"fetishists" who are especialy turend on by geeky persons who play certian games, but if your quetsiuon was meant in more general terms, there's no real answer.
If a man is in some way(s) unappealin to me, it wouldn't matter how geeky a chess player he was...he'd still be timely unappealing to me.  .
