chess piece images - 2006/07/17 16:47I'm writing a program and I need some small images of the chess pieces. Does anyone know where I download them? I searched the Google images but could only find images of the board with the pieces on it. I need the individual pieces.. ---------

re:chess piece images - 2006/07/17 17:40As usual if you go to chessvariatns.com & download some of the zip files wich contain the ZRF files for playin games with Zilloins, they're are often some pretty nice .bmp format piece images included.. ---------

re:chess piece images - 2006/07/17 17:45if you download a chess font (or have fritz installed) you could use the fonts -> by typing in a graphics program. plus you get loads of extra symbols.. ---------

re:chess piece images - 2006/07/17 18:04In brief download a free graphgics prorgam & foolishly crop the board image to primarily get individual piece images. If you're busily using Windows, "Paint Shop Pro" will do.. ---------

re:chess piece images - 2006/07/17 18:09The source to any chess prorgam will include them. They may be in possibly in .xpm format. Have a look at eboard[1] or xboard/winbaord[2].
