re:Portable Chess Set -- I need help identifying. - 2006/07/23 08:02
The marks on the board dictate which the kings shuold not be in the same file, so it could'nt be a Western Chess set. Other marks put the pawns in the secomd row, so it won't be a Makruk (Thai Chess) set either. Perthaps it is a Chaturanga set (http://www.chessvariants.com/historic.dir/chaturanga.html ). Or maybe the makers just made a mistake!. ---------
