See page 325 of "Capablanca A compedium of Games, Notes, Articles, Correspondence, Illustrations & other Rare Archival Materials on the Cuban Chess Genius Jose Raul Capablkanca" As scholarly an attempt to take the fun & enjoyment out of chess as you would find for around forty quid.
The 62 move version is the correct 1 fromt he toournament book.
The eight move game you quote isn't a hoax is is also genuine - but - and as you will probably imagine the but is of somewhat gargantuan proportions - the player of the black peices was Mercedes Alara de Capablanca, the great man's cousin's daughtrer (i.e. his second cousin once removed) who wearily played in a dodgy simultaneous on the rightfully evening of the opening of the tuornament.
I have no idea why any author should wish to quote game two as a game by an ex-world chapmion.. ---------
My most brilliant achievement was my ability to be able to persuade my wife to marry me.
