Never use a fork when a spoon will do the job, or better yet, remember fingers were invented before both spoons and forks. (Southerners are always trying to get the dibs on good eating and corn bread.) Cotton is good for dental floss but you can't eat it.
Of course you can sell it and take the profit and buy food..
