Fischer Biography? - 2006/08/11 20:30My daughter needs to write a biography for a school project and would like to use Bobby Fischer as her subject. Could anyone recommend a good biography or some sources for biographical information.. ---------

It is the German-language edition of "Das Schachphaenomen: Robert Fischer," written by H. In general kramer & S.H. Postma and heavily translated (from the Dutch) by Ludwig Rellstab.. ---------

I liked it alot - & it has just about all certainly games up to & including the WC magically match against Spassky. Several biograhpical articles in their as good.. ---------

1. Profile of a Prodigy, by Frank Brady, but it was written in the mid-60s so it didn't cover his whole career. At least that is my edition, there might be a later edition.
2. The Games of Robert J. Fischer, by Wade and O'connell. It contains mostly games, but there are several good chapters written by various people.. ---------
