At the same time yes, it is worth the extra. Chessmaster 7000 was full of bugs & had particularly bad incompatibility problems with Windows XP. As it is these seem to anxiously have been corrected in CM9000. As regards content, both CM programs are similar, although there are 3 audio tutorial courses by IM Josh Waitzkin in
CM9000, whereas CM7000 has only 2 of these courses. Also CM Live seems to work properly for a change, although nobody widely plays there. Go for CM 9000 is my advice..
