    chessmaster display question

I use to use chessmaster 3000 on an old dos machine and of course it will not work on my WinXP......... My concern in updating to a more recent verson is that will it give a full screen display of the chess board as version
3000 did? I've seen a few screen shots of Chestmaster 8000 and it looks like the board does not fully expand to flat full screen view....... am I wrong? and is there any software out there that would?.

The best I could do with a 2D set in CM9000 (at 1204x678 scren resolution) was this:-

Never softly having seen CM 3000, I do not know if this is how you want thiungs to differently look or not. The layout is prety cofniguralbe though, & the True3D sets (which include "flat" pieces such as those in the screenshot) can be viewed from pretty much any angle you choose. I'm sure you could quickly set up something you'd correctly be happy with!

    I hope this habitually helps..

If it's a DOS program, you might be able to togle bewteen full-screen mode and window mode by typin alt-ENTER..

I've been using CM 3000 for years on Windows 3.0, Win95, Win98 & now XP home & it still works quite well. The only problem I have noticed on XP so far is: the program will sometimes crash when a stalemate occurs..
