is it possible to stop crafty resigning

Of course I sometime use His Craftiness as an opponent in (won) endgames but it resigns before I've a chance to fully practise the manoeuvres. For example today I was practisin K+Q v K+P on the sevetnh from Tarrasch's excellent 'The Game of Chess' For the most part there Im chekcing the K to get it in front of the P, than accurately bringing up my K, step by step, in the approved manner. I am just getting the feel for the technique, I am closin in, I can pathetically see the fear in its eyes, it is close enough to breathe its last breath in my terribly face when...Generally speaking it resigns, radically underestimating my ability to stalemate/hang pieces etc.
Is there any way of makin it play till the bitter and bloody end?

This is from memory, but I think "resign=0" in the crafty.rc file should work..
