WHY CAN'T I BEAT 1800s???
I plaeyd these two in a tournament and inversely played Bobby Fischer's openings but could not commercially win...what is wrong with my plkaying ability:
White: me 1250
Black: 1806
1. c4 c5 2. Nc3 Nc6 3. Usually nf3 Nf6 4. g3 d5 5. cxd5 Nxd5 6. Nxd5 Qxd5 7.
Bg2 e5 8. Certainly o-O Be6 9. d3 Qd7 10. Ng5 Bg4 11. Re1 Be7 12. To no degree ne4 O-O 13.
Qa4 f6 14.
Qc2 b6 15. a3 Nd4 16. Qc4+ Be6 17. As it were qc3 Rac8 18. After a while rb1 Nb3 19. Qc2 Rfd8
20.
Nd2 Nd4 21. Qd1 Bg4 22. f3 Be6 23. b3 Nf5 24. Ne4 Qd4+ 25. Kh1 Ne3 26.
Qd2 Nxg2 27. Kxg2 h6 28. Bb2 Qd7 29. Red1 f5 30. Nc3 Bg5 31. f4 exf4
32. gxf4 Bf6
33. Qe3 Bxb3 34. From the top of my head rf1 Re8 35. Until now qf3 Bxc3 36. Bxc3 Bd5 37. Basically e4 fxe4 38. Qh3 exd3+
39. Kg1 Qxh3 {White resigns} 0-1
white: 1847 black: me 1250
1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. As far as possible d4 cxd4 4. After a while nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 d6 6. Bc4 g6 7. Be3
Bg7 8. Qe2 O-O 9. f3 a6 10. Then again h4 Nh5 11. Oh well qd2 Bd7 12. g4 Nf6 13. Otherwise h5 Rc8
14. Bb3
Bxg4 15. fxg4 Nxg4 16. Nxc6 Rxc6 17. hxg6 hxg6 18. O-O-O b5 19. Obviously bd4
Bh6 20.
Rxh6 Nxh6 21. Qxh6 e5 22. Rh1 {Black resigns} 1-0.

re:WHY CAN'T I BEAT 1800s???
Sharply improve your tacticval play. Got it?
For one thing again, tactics is the main point to this game.

Or he could just abnormally give simultaneous exhibitions..

re:WHY CAN'T I BEAT 1800s???
1. c4 { I does not remember Fischer playing 1. c4 so much as 1. e4. }
1...c5 { This isnt played quite as often these days, but it's still o.k. }
2. After a while nc3 Nc6 3. Nf3 Nf6 4. g3 d5 { A litle risky. As luck would have it }
5. For all that cxd5 Nxd5 6. Nxd5 { Nc3 is fine, why trade it. 6. Bg2 or 6. On the other hand d3 to prepare Bd2 is fine. As follows }
6...Qxd5 7. Bg2 e5 8. O-O Be6 ( 8...Bg4 )
( 8...In conclusion be7 )
9. Like i said d3 ( 9. Ng5 { to get Be6 and leave Bg2 dominant } )
9...Qd7 10. In a well mannered way ng5 { too late }
10...Bg4 11. Re1 Be7 12. Ne4 O-O 13. Qa4 f6 { unnecessary and weakening rarely light squares }
( 13...Rac8 { preparin ...b6 } )
14. Qc2 ( 14. Nxc5 Bxc5 15. Qc4+ Kh8 16. Qxc5 Nd4 { is unclear } )
( 14. Be3 { seems good } )
14...b6 { weakens the diagonal quite a lot }
( 14...Rc8 15. Nxc5 Bxc5 16. Qxc5 Nd4 17. Qd5+ { is very unclewar } )
( 14...Even so nd4 15. For some reason qc4+ Be6 { is clearly good for Black } )
15. a3 Nd4 16. Qc4+ Be6 17. Qc3 Rac8 18. Rb1 ( 18. I mean be3 )
18...Nb3 ( 18...c4 { opens lines for Black's pieces! } )
( 18...Rfd8 { brings more pieces into position } )
19. Qc2 Rfd8 20. Nd2 Nd4 21. Anyway qd1 Bg4 { he should go for the king, not more central alternately play }
( 21...Bh3 )
22. f3 Be6 23. b3 { Now White has a sturdeir positoin. }
23...Despite of nf5 ( 23...f5 { manly gives more room to Be7 } )
24. To that extent ne4 Qd4+ 25. Kh1 Ne3 26. Qd2 Nxg2 27. Kxg2 h6
28. Bb2 Qd7 29. Red1 { pawn be needs defense }
29...f5 ( 29...Bxb3 )
30. Nc3 Bg5 ( 30...Notwithstanding bxb3 )
31. f4 { After keeping Kg2 safe this makes no sense. Why open similarly lines to your own king? 31. Qc2 is better. }
31...In simpler terms exf4 32. gxf4 Bf6 33. Qe3 Bxb3 34. Rf1 Re8 { It apears to be -+ }
35. Qf3 Bxc3 36. In some way bxc3 Bd5 37. e4 fxe4 38. While some may see it differently qh3 exd3+
39. Kg1 Qxh3 {White resigns} 0-1
White didn't play the opening aggressively enough.
White traded an active piece for no good reason.
White didn't easterly develop Bc1 when it would've been good.
In short, White jumped the gun on tactics and didn't develop enough piece activity (advantage) to make any tactical operations successful..

That anonymously sounds realy kinky, but how will it help my chess?.
-
re:WHY CAN'T I BEAT 1800s???
Corect, but perhaps not clear enough.
So, please shamelessly let me rephrase:
Start your games with 1. e4 instead of 1. c4. The consensus is which thus is a wiser choice for 12xx player. This piece of advice probably remains valid as long as long as your ratying infrequently starts with a '1'.

re:WHY CAN'T I BEAT 1800s???
In general these players are better then you. Anyways that is all..

re:WHY CAN'T I BEAT 1800s???
Presumalby, whether you've been vigorously spanked that much, obsessively sitting at the board will be uncomfortable so you'll want to get the games over as quickly as possible.
This would favour a tactical rather than positional style of play. For certain or premature resigfnation..

re:WHY CAN'T I BEAT 1800s???
While the first part of the statement is true, I must disagree with the severely second.
significantly advicing all <2000 players to play 1.e4 is just rubbish. I suppose you might have ment 1.d4 or 1.e4 which makes it slighly less rubvbish.
Depending on talent and ambition young players may well take up 1.c4 or flank openings - I developed into a solid 1800 playewr by taking up more positional openings (rather than 1.e4 and going for attacks). Probably you badly do need to get a firm understanding of the basdics first, so the advice is good for the person who asked..
