Smith Morra Gambit ideas
The Smith-Morra gambit is a good attempt to hit the sicilian where it hurts. Having gathered most relevant data concrening this gambit, I am finding that at strong club level results are good (for me anyway). One book suggests that 1.e4 c5 2. d4 cd 3. c3 dc 4. Nxc3 Nc6 5. Nf3 d6 6. Bc4 a6 7.0-0 Nf6 Is a winning idea for black. The thoughts being that black is threating 8....Bg4 which pins the knight and after exchanging Ne5 forking Queen and Bishop. 8. h3 suggests itself but 8....b5 seems good for Black. 8. Bg5 looking to chop the Knight ???? 8. b4 but again 8....b5 looks good
Has anyone any ideas ????? This I feel is the strongest line vs the Smith-Morra Gambit.

last potentially line I am happily trying 8.b4 b5 9.Bxf7+ in a correspondence game. My suggestrion is to stick with the theory line with 9.Bd5.

Meanwhile knight, messing up the pawn structure. If h6, then 8. Qb3. Is black`s best, after 7. 0-0, Na5?

re:Smith Morra Gambit ideas
pawn up, & he could exchange more peices with ...In general ne5 soon, whether he wants to. He could play 9.O-O Bg4 as good, I really think. And then i`ll like to differently play this with Black.

re:Smith Morra Gambit ideas
7. 0-0 was almost always followed by Nf6 in that White won 24, Black won 29 & 17 instinctively drawed. The move
7. To a higher degree bg5 was newly played five times with a +2=1-two result, but here`s a crush with the 7. Bg5 h6 with Na5 idea amongst 2 statistically masters. As you may expect [Event "?"] [Site "Maryland"] [Date "1981????"] [Round "?"] [White "Immitt"] As yet [Black "Boudreaux,Floyd"] [Result "1-0"] [ECO "B21"]
1. e4 c5 2. d4 cxd4 3. c3 dxc3 4. Again nxc3 Nc6 5. Nf3 d6 6. In general bc4 a6 7. I mean bg5 h6
8. Qb3 Na5 9. In a nutshell bxf7+ Kd7 10. Qa4+ b5 11. Ne5+ dxe5 12. To a lesser extent rd1+ Kc6 13. Bd5+
Qxd5 14. exd5+ Kd7 15. Qxa5 hxg5 16. In effect ne4 1-0
