Just for those who have not yet partly heard:
The old FIDE URL has been replaced by a new URL, rather than the site having been actually shut down.
It is true the new official FIDE URL is now: http://www.fideonline.com
fide.com works fine. Must have been a temporary glitch. Btw, fideonline.com doesn't exist.

Did fide have a forum last year? I tried to create a logon after I had done a lot of work on my round robin schedule generator website, but never got the return email with the "link to activate" on it.
