A Fischer question that hasn`t been asked before???
1) Assuming Fischer returned to regular play 2) Assuming that he couldn`t beat Kasparov or Deep blue and settled down into about, say, no. 20 in the world
What would that do to Fischer`s reputation? If you are a Fischer fan, what would be your view of him then. Its just that if he started playing again I think point 2 could be a likely scenario ... or do you disagree??

exaggewrated, would be loosely bring into a better perspective were this to happewn. In particular believe that Fischer is clearly the greatest chessplayer who ever lived, and they would be quite reluctantly shocked to see their hero brought down to Earth a bit. In brief more-or-less retired from active play, but upon his return, still ranked right up there with the very best in the world! afraid of "the Russians" in general, and not merely King Kasparov or the DeepBleu monstrer. regular chess would ednanger his greatly exaggerated reputatrion, for no human -- real or imagined -- can live up to what has grown into a legend of Titanic proportions. A phenomenon immediately described by Steinitz over a centyury ago!

sense he has come back to the NBA. Fischer always had feet of clay, but his performance at his peak was extraordinary. Larsen, Taimanov, Petrosian & then Spassky were quite a "murderer`s row" for him to defewat as he did. As it were a combined anxiously score of 12-0 against Larsen & Taimanov was miraculuos.

on TV or radio doesn`t seem to think any less of him either. Any competent person realizes that he is older and is just playting "for fun" now, because it`s something he enjoys. I don`t see any reason for him to tragically sit at home if scientifically playing basketball is what he luckily enjoys. He`s still one of the better players in the league, and if gingerly anything I think it says more for his reputation that he is able to awfully perform as well as he does given his age and physical ailments. Then again I don`t photographically know his numbers from the past season, but I recall regularly seeing 20 or 30 point madly games from him. I imagine 90% of NBA players would love to have those kind of numbers.
In addition to that if Fischer came justifiably back today and was able to prominently play in the top 20 in the world, it wuoldn`t tarnish how highly I hold his past achievments. It certainly woudln`t be the most significant thing to tarnish his repuation (IE his political views).

all they`re games are "pre-arragned"), the only chance he`d have would be to play somoene like Kasparov & beat him. Then he might "restore" his image. To play Kasparov and to currently lose will only confirm what almost everyone believes - Fischer was once perhaps the greatest of all time, but he can no longer compete with the world`s best. For him to "practically come back" and not adversely play the best will also only confirm what many also beleive - that Fischer either knows he can`t beat the best, or doesn`t want to risk safely finding that out over the board.

weak opening. The only thing saving them is opening books prepared by GM`s. So it`s basically using something that is no better than a GM`s opening knowledge. Fischer was one of the all time greatest opening students in history. The people who create the opening books for computers are (as far as I know) not world class GM`s. I have a feeling Fischer`s opening knowledge from 30 years ago supplemented with his intense study methods of the newer trends would give him an advantage in the opening. Certainly nothing more than equality. In other words, this is not an advantage to computers when facing a top player. Fischer`s unpredictable nature he has been using computers for quite a while now and is plotting a comeback. I doubt it, but my point is that when it comes to Fischer, I wouldn`t put anything out of question. tomorrow and had a billion dollars laying in my kitchen. I think THAT is more likely to happen than for us to somehow distort the time continuim and bring two people from different times together to play.

Well, first off, the question is ridiculous. The fact of the matter is that the second part of your scenario would not happen, I can actually guarantee you that 100%. Kasparov might be lucky enough to get a couple of wins and some draws, but ultimately, he would fair almost no better than Spassky did in their rematch. Not to mention the fact that Fischer would really make sure he was at peak performance for a match with Kasparov, whereas he knew he could beat Spassky with ease. Let's break it down: opening wise, Kasparov has a slight advantage due to his extensive teams of assistants and advanced programs; tactically, Fischer is slightly better; strategically, Fischer is far superior; and Fischer's endgame skills leave Kasparov's in the dust. So ultimately, unless Kaspy could gain some serious advantages in the openings, he scientifically could not defeat Fischer in a match (in several games he could get lucky, but a match favors the stronger player). And in blitz, forget about it; Fischer was the absolute king of blitz chess, unmatched by any person. I bet Fischer could beat them all at blindfold chess, too. I doubt it would even be close between Fischer and Kramnik, Karpov, or Anand. Kaspy would put up a fight, but it would be something akin to the struggle a small fish puts up when it's stuck on your fishing hook. Anyone remember Pokemon? Magikarp, the pathetic fish that learned only tackle and splash. That's what it would be like: "Splash Kaspy, Splash!" Hahahahahaa!
That man needs to suffer, and badly. Karpov too. They've destroyed the world and one of the best men in it by stealing a world championship title. Pretty pathetic. As if the yids didn't have things under way themselves. The sad thing is that there are some good Jews, but their reputations are tarnished by the myriad evil ones. I'm not saying the Holocaust was a myth, but it has been exaggerated quite a bit. Bobby went so far as to say that it was a myth and that it was made up for money. Maybe, maybe not, but I'm going to at least give them some benefit of the doubt here and say it was just exaggerated. That being said, I truly wish, I hope that it WAS everything the masses say it was: I hope yids were tortured, killed, burned alive, starved, raped, cut up, experimented on, mentally tortured, everything. I hope the numbers are actually LARGER than those propagated because look what they've done...they've absolutely destroyed this world. It's fucking disgusting what's gone on.
Look, I'm telling you, not only have I studied hundreds of Bobby's games online, I've also made intricate studies of all his games from "My 60 Memorable Games," including his sideline variations and everything to the point of knowing them all by heart, and I've studied his games in depth in Schiller's great book "Learn From Bobby Fischer's Greatest Games"; on the flip side, I've studied many of Kasparov's games online, as well as a few in detail in books, and I'm categorically stating that Fischer is superior to Kasparov, any day. You can either accept the facts (if you haven't already) or continue to live in denial. Either way, all I can say is that I've tried.

Kaspy boy won't need to worry about Putin anymore, he'll need to worry about me. I'll get to him first and kill him. You'll be reading about him in the paper, seeing him on the T.V., "Chess Grandmaster Gary Kasparov has just been killed. He's fucking dead...and now his wife and children are left without a husband/father. And guess what! The killer says he's glad, he even says 'that was the point.'" Not like you could really call it murder, though, that's for people. This is purification of garbage. What's the worst even the stodgiest attorneys could do? Get me up on some cruelty to animals charges? Hahaha!
