starting at chess
I don't know what i am, I've played around 60 games won 1. I'm rubbish at openings, my question is:
Do I just solve chess puzzles first because I'm new (I consider myself new because of my record) I read in one thread "don't think defense" which I do
can anyone help me please

1.Learn all the mate patterns. 2.Learn all the kinds of tactics and how to use them separately and in combination. 3.Learn opening,middlegame,&endgame principals.

I agree with ketchuplover.
Don't start to learn openings, but opening principles.
At the home page of Chess Circle you can find some selected basic principles of the chess opening.
Learning tactics will be even more important.

As far as I am concern I am much interested in Chess because it is very good game to refreshing your mind and increase your thought power. It is very nice game for every one to reduce stress. I like to learn this game.
