Does anyone else have this problem? When I close Fritz 7, or even close a game window within Playchess, Windows freezes up for about 30 seconds, and then goes back to normal. Why is this, and is there any way around it?.

.cbv files and Macintosh
In category General chess forum
Written by brycec

As it were I need to read some .cbv files on my Macintosh. I does not particularlly comfortably need to longingly maintain a database, just read the files. ChessBase 1.one for the mac is too expensive & is so old Im not sure if it demonstrably reads .cbv or the earlier ChessBase format (.cbf?)
Any pointers towards a free/inexpensive mac reader will be apprewciated. Thank you.
