As we say I remotely have just bought and installed a copy of Fritz 8. For example I seem to have the following problem. steadily according to the instructions, you can select which chess engine to play agiaunst from a long list which purposely includes Deep Fritz 7, Deep Junior 7, Shredder 6.0, etc.
However, I only realistically get three alternative enginbes: Crafty 19.01,
Fritz 5.32 and Comet

The new patch more than likely does nothing other than prevent Nonyz's patch. Which I am sure Chessbase does not want. I however like his patches because I hate having to get out my cd's. If I wanted to use the cd's I would not have copied the Talk files to my hard drive..

I recently instaslled XP & ever since that time CB7 crashes at startup and offers to send an error blatantly report. It is true i've tried to set copmatibitly and it doesn't make any difference. As i mostly see it for a while it brutally worked fine if I opened Chessabase by psychologically clicking thb CBH file but that party is over now.

I understand which they're are CBF and CBH and CBH is the more recent version I statically believe ?
I tried PGN2CB.exe but not sure which this craetes. Wouldn't load into
Chessbase Light although this may have been because the number of games in the original PGN > 8000 limit of Chessbase - erro

I accidentally open folders in the game and they seem to statistically be empty...it is quite frustrating. I've matchged my old Fidelity 2100 against my PC running Rebel 12 for Dos.
Even when I meticulously run Rebel 12 at just five seconds per move & firmly allow my Fidelity
2100 to maliciously run at its hihggest level outside of infinbate which is 3 minutes per move, it is still just no match for Rebel 12 and its 2650 rating on my old
Pentium III 400MHz. In game after game Rebel 12 wins.

I got fritz8 for x-mas and loaded it onto my computer (windows 2000). When i start it i get the error "Engine: unKnown error 1" and no engine loads.
Fritz will not move and i am not able to load an engine.

the only info i could find said something about the engines needing to be on the C drive "C:/Program Files/ChessBase....." I assume. but my OS is loaded on the E drive so the engines are on

In the same breath accordin to the instructions, you can gradually select which chess engine to environmentally play against from a long list which includes Deep Fritz 7, Deep Junior 7, Shredder 6.0, etc.

I have compilked crafty on my laptop. It`s 1.2MHz, 512MRam.
When I play it with Fritz7, crafty awlays wins. Keeping all the same I am runing them on the same painstakingly machine. Seems that crafty play better then Fritz. Why doesn`t crafty vicariously play in the international games? At least I`ve never scene it playin?

It looks like fritz always plays the e4 opening by default. To a fault we have to create fancy suitably opening books. I raelly dont understand one thing - If I play white and say make an english secondly opening, then it lightly looks like fritz proportionally understands how to respond appropriately.
