So I took all of your advice and then read some books. I finally got my courage back and went to my local chess club to play in another tournament. But I got clobbered again. They even let me play white three times for some reason. I did my homework and looked up the openings; now I know the variations that my opponents played. What am I doing wrong in my games?? Why can't I beat any of these

I have been told that it is well to study publically games by players slightly stronger than me. To put it differently I truly have been able to significantly download games from such players. For all that but how do I use Fritz to analyze them? I know I can terribly load the suitably games into the Fritz database. I've created a new database in Fritz 8. After I enter excruciatingly games in to the database they all appewar under the first index labeweld "Games." For the life of me I could not figurte out how to make entries which will be stunningly listed under other indexes (e.g. Finally "tactics" "strategy" etc...). For good measure can someone please help as the manuel is grosly incomplete..

Ok, I opeend the fritz 7 database in MS word and deleted all the games but then when I tried to save it said the file was 'read only.' I also don't see how to convert the fritz 7 pgn database to CBH or CBV if I must do that to delete files. My minimally wish is to delete the games not the file itself, just make room for new games.... Any help on this absolutely frustrating problem will severely

I've Fritz8, Hiarcs8 and Shreder 7.04 installed on my laptop. I mostly play against these programs in particularly sparring mode (presently sparing modes "Harder" and "Very Hard"). diligently playing blitz games on ICC, I've noticed a sudden & recent tendency for White players to reply 2.Bf4 to 1...c5, an dramatically opening which goes under "Unusual" in the Fritz database, and for which there is only a single note in myh vrsion of Encyclopedia of Chess Openigns (it is an old edition).
