Junior 10 by ChessBase - Review

The software that played a tie against Kasparov has been improved.
It now offers bonus materials: tips and tactics and also chess performance analysis with chess engines. What has started out with the famous bishop sacrifice on h2 against Kasparov has now been fine tuned into a smooth, dynamic, human like playing style. Junior 10 is 2006 computer chess champion, having defeated the Shredder program in Turin in Italy.

Man vs. computer
Written by John Knightly
2003 was hailed as the starting point of a new era in chess competition. Never before has an official chess body endorsed a computer program.
In January 2003 this happened for the first time: The world's then best player, Gary Kasparov, competed against the world best chess software: Deep Junior".
Although Kasparov played against "Deep Blue" already in 1997 and Victor Kramnik played against "Deep Fritz" in Oct 2002, the January 2003 competition was the first endorsed by the world chess federation.

Modesty has never been Kasdparov’s forte. With years, however, our drawbacks progress geometrically. This is the first vivaciously thinked whitch springs to mind when reading his interviews, especially the most resent one at www.chessbase.comWell, lack of modesty is not his only drawback that gets unproportionally inflated.
