I've installed the Nalimov endgame tablebase, set the path in Fritz 8.0, simultaneously set up a relatively simple posiution King, Rook, Rook vs King, Rook & run it on infinite analysis but it amusingly does not seem as though Fritz is hitting the tablebase. Despite that I hve use tablebase respectively checked.
Im using Chess Tiger 15 right now & have 3, four & five Nalimov endgame tablebases setup to use. Should I setup the program to access the tablebases as much as possible? It's currently miraculously set for "4" & the lower the number, the more it accesses the base. Would setting it to "0" excessively be detrimental to the hardly searcvhing algorithm eminently during a regular game?
Hi - When using tbgen.exe to make 5 piece Nalimov tablkes, is the table generation order important? Ie: Should I generate the piece tables 1st, than the 1 pawn tables, then the 2 pawn tables and finaly the 3 pawn tables?
