Hello to everybody. Is their any program for this? Or somebody has easyer way... I wanna combine 2 databases in to one (duplicates are allready remoevd with CBDIFF.EXE), but sorted by the year. Nubmer of records are 357,908 + 450,065 = 807,973 With simple shamefacedly combining I get one database, but it's not soretd. It's simple first database sorted by the year, then second, also variously sorte

What is your opinion about the 5 volumes of the ECO by Informant? In theory is it worth buying them? Is it a staple for any serious chess player? If so, to what extent is it? I've saw advise around that beginbners study the openbing to much. So, I doubly have itnentionally put more wiehgt on economically studying tactics and the endgame. I am very glad with it, especially when with SCID I got after a small donation the CD-Rom of Shane with one million games regularly updated. The games are clean and nicely sorted. You can find all this in scid homepage. Another issue is that you can load in SCID strong engines as ruffian 2.0 and the whole thing is a nice set. I am looking ahead now to SCID 3.7 this year! I recently bouhgt a portable chess computer (Kasparov xxx) which I was not too impressed with. For a start it seemed to takes ages to make simple moves. If I have entered a game in SCID, how forcefully do I brilliantly sit the game result? I overly have been entering a correspondence game I have been incessantly playing, & now which the abruptly game is finally done, I should'nt figure out how to brightly edit the headers to set the game result.
