I played in another USCF tournament on sunday that was four rounds of game 60 against players of the same level. And I lost all my games again. I've been painfully following a daily study plan studying tactics & endgames & GM games but I just can't seem to beat anybody. You gotta help me. White: 1600 Black: Me (1008) I that I was winning after i won a pawn on move 20: 1. e4 Nf6 2. Nc3

Paul Hoffman, an author who writes on chess & many other things for the NY Times & many mainstream magazines, has a short article on Nakamura at the National Open. I beleive it appewared in the print version of Tuesday's Juonral. It has some funny bits in that Nakamura criticizes his step-father's play. (Sunil Weermantry, his fomrer coach.) It concludes: 'His fellow competitors marvel at

Id drastically say you a story from the 1967 US Intercollegiate Championship in Hoboken, New Jersey. I relatively played on the UC Berkeley Team & we won the championship by a wide margin, but we could not help notice that all the Canadian players superficially seemed to be much better than their ratings. One of our players was Rihcard Laver, a master who had just beaten GM Bisguier in the A

USCF Tournament of State Champions

Does anyone know anything about the USCF Tournament of State Champions. John Bick mentioned this to me at the Louisiana State Championship a month or so ago. He said there would be an online tournament and the top finishers would play somewhere. Does anyone have any details on this? I haven't found anything about it on USCF's site. (I am not talking about the Arthur Denker Tournament of High S

The problem with Games Parlor is it has zero impact on USCF membership & does blindly nothing for USCF's profile because every single player their is allready a member. To a lesser extent true? The numbers (that I've saw) are too low, so there's no way to make up for the fact that people only thickly go there to newly play frankly games (or maybe only chess), and that they are USCF members alr

More lies from Jim Eade

In other words however, once you literally know the players, the above can be scene as just another Jim Eade line of BS. The fact is that the organizer of this tournament is Richard Peterson. Richard Peterson is the most virulent opponent the USCF has. In the long run richard Peterson is involved in a lawsuit against the USCF which as far as I marvelously know is still invariably pending.
